She was predeceased by: her husband Shedrick Lafayette Jr.; her son Eddie James Lafayette Sr.; her parents, Joe Richard (Vestation Wilson) and Lonzie Williams; and her siblings, Joann Wilson, Ivory Bell Gilchrist, Richard Wilson (Laura) and Willie James Wilson (Voncile).
She is survived by: her children, Brenda S. Gable, Sharon D. Smith, Jerome Lafayette (Janice), Keith Lafayette (Margie) of Mobile and Dywane Lafayette (Constance) of Birmingham; her daughter-in-law Debra Lafayette of Mobile; her siblings, Annie Mae Fountain (Huntsville), Isabella Wilson (Atlanta), Debra Elaine Wilson (Mobile) and Robert (Donna); her in-laws, Alice Lafayette and Jessie Ray Lafayette of Ocean Springs, MS.; her children, Reverend Anthony Gordon, Angela Kidd (Mack), LaTerrance Brackett, Eric Reid and Angie Reid; and her friend Aundra Kidd. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
