She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dempsey and Agnes Dempsey; her husband William "Bill" Shivers; her son William "Billy" Shivers, Jr.; her siblings, Johnny, Henry, Fred Dempsey and Jeanette Hinkle; and her siblings-in-law, Peggy, Shirley Dempsey and Theron "Boots" Hinkle.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Nickens; her grandchildren, Cristy Shivers and Brent Shivers (Stacy); her siblings, Dorothy Jones (Alton) and Ernie Dempsey (Kerry Garner); her daughter-in-law Donna Shivers; and her sisters-in-law, Dean and Carolyn Dempsey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oakland Cemetery.
