We announce the death of Ava Jean Bowling of Rainbow City, Alabama, who passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 92. Ava will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Katherine Lee Bowling Henderson. She is survived by: her son John Bowling (Cheryl); her son-in-law T. R. Henderson; her grandchildren, Della Bowling Barber, Anna Lee Henderson (Danny), Wilson Bowling (Jessica) and Rebecca Van Etten (Chris); her great grandchildren, Cosette Henderson, Dylan Barber and Sunny Barber; her nephew Roy Harris; Patrick. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Rainbow Church of Christ (2201 Rainbow Dr, Gadsden, AL 35901).
