She was predeceased by: her parents, William Foster Ray and Beulah Stewart Ray (Stewart); her husband James Gerald Rayburn (Jim); and her brother Paul Davis Ray (Forrest). She is survived by: her sons, Joseph Scott Rayburn (Angela) of Rainbow City, AL and Seth David Rayburn (Nicole) of Athens, AL; her grandchildren, Joseph Scott Rayburn, Jr., Joanna Salome Rayburn, Carter David Rayburn and Margaret Elizabeth Rayburn; her nephew Robert Shannon Ray (Cynthia) of Piedmont, AL.; and her caregivers, Molly Battles, Dana Daughdrill, Sam Entrekin, Lisa Hester and Luanne Scales.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thompson Funeral Home & Crematory (6340 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at the Goshen Cemetery.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Piedmont Cumberland Presbyterian Church and to the Caring Angels Ministry of the First United Methodist Church of Gadsden.
