With sadness, we share the passing of Rex Colquett Murray of Rainbow City, Alabama. Rex, born on February 26, 1936, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Murray and Norma Dean Murray; and his former wife Anna Hartbarger. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Murray; his children, Kelley Leamon (Jason) and Kevin Amberson (Heather); and his grandchildren, Lindsey Winkowski (Quenton), James Amberson Jr., McCain Foster and Jase Leamon.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rainbow City First Methodist Church (3208 Rainbow Dr, Rainbow City, AL 35906). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
