He was predeceased by : his wife Beth Gray; his son Phillip Gray; his parents, Lee Gray and Hazel Gray; and his siblings, Bill Gray (Glenda) and Peggy Gray.

He is survived by : his children, Chris Gray (Tammy) of Rainsville, Tracy Coots (Donald) of Rainsville, Leanne Timmons (Scott) of Rainsville and Scott Fleming of Rainsville; his grandchildren, Cody Coots (Autum), Meg Damron (Denton), Kyle Coots (Abbie), Chad Gray (Chastain), Ben Coots, Ella Timmons, Nate Timmons and Savannah Fleming; and his great grandchild Noah Coots.
