He was predeceased by : his brother Carl Williams; and his former life partner Carol Oliver Williams. He is survived by : his nephews, Barron Williams, Alex Williams, Earl Williams and Stewart Williams; his wife Annis Hurst Williams; his stepsons, Jeremy Gunter (Melody) and Shane Gunter; and his grandchildren, Gregory Gunter, Ethan Gunter, Andrea Gunter and Abigail Gunter.

He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 16, 2024 after a long illness with Parkinson's.
