He was predeceased by: his former wife Melodie Ann Strickland; his wife Kathryn Grace Strickland; and his grandson Colton Ryder Bridges. He is survived by: his children, Connie Lee Latham (Bonus Daughters) of Northport, AL, Derik Nathaniel Strickland of Fountain, Thomas Dustin Strickland of Lincoln, Dawson Robert Strickland of Ralph, Joshua Ryan Hernandez of Colorado Springs and Elias Lorenzo Hernandez; his parents, Marry Kathryn Strickland and Thomas Derik Strickland of Fountain, Colorado; and his grandchildren, Avryanna Grace, Annie Noel, Emma Rose, Gabriel Ryder Strickland of Fountain, Aiden Parker Hernandez, Lucas Ryan Hernandez of Colorado Springs, Addison Grace Latham of Northport, Sebastian Penberthy and Sterling Penberthy of Passcatway.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
