It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Earl Smith of Ramer, Alabama, who passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Roy Earl had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Roy Earl may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his wife Debbie Smith. He is survived by: his sons, Earl Smith (Barbara) and Keith Smith; his grandchildren, Heather Dodson (Lane), Brian Smith, Hunter Smith and Crystal Smith; his great grandchildren, Mason Dodson and Gatlin Dodson; and his siblings, Lance Smith (Sylvia) and Ruth Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dillard Funeral Home (206 Old Hwy 231 N, Troy, AL 36081). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
