She was predeceased by: her parents, Verdis Whitley and Annie Whitley of Ranburne; her son David Lee Alewine; and her brother Ray Whitley. She is survived by: her children, Danny (Celia) of Ranburne and Donna (Scotty) of Gadsden, Alabama.; her grandchildren, Chris (Candace) of Bowdon, Alan Alewine of Ranburne, Joshua (Leonora) of Dallas, Lee (Lyndsey) of Southaven, Mary Landers (Mitch) of Atlanta and Ashton of Atlanta, Georgia.; her great grandchildren, Grayson and SJ; and her sisters, Betty (Burrell) of Temple and Joyce (Roy) of Ranburne, Alabama.. She is also survived by many in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Her food was delicious contributions to family meals and church events.
