It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maggie Tidwell Edwards of Ranburne, Alabama, born in Dallas, Georgia, who passed away on May 14, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Simmie and Irene Smith Tidwell; her husband Billie Edwards Sr.; her children, Billy Edwards Jr. (Tereasa) and Linda Durham (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Angela, Preston and Valerie; and her sisters, Lucille Tidwell, Annie Burrand, Clara Keaton and Francis Maner.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Ploof (Red) of Bremen, Donna Watkins (Robert) of Palm Bay, Bobby Edwards (Dessie) of Draketown and Richard Edwards (Penny) of Temple; her siblings, Gertrude Floyd of Draketown, Tom Tidwell of Ranburne and Melton Tidwell of Heflin; and her close friend Bob Thomason. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren.
