It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Countess John Chapman of Randolph, Alabama, who passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 107, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John T. Shealey and Mayme B. Shealey (Culpepper); her siblings, Juanita, Agil and Tom; and her husband George Ervin Chapman.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Jessica Felton Tucker (Waudell); her cousin Texanna Royston; her children, Linda Chapman Felton of Auburn, Countess Elaine Chapman of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Ronald Chapman (Mary) of Aurora, Colorado; her grandchildren, Jessica Hope Felton Tucker (Waudell) of Auburn, Alabama., Jasmin Felton of Auburn, Alabama., Minister Danny Wright and Gloria Wright; her children, Toni Wright, Kathy, Naomi Pate, Debra, Mayfield Royston and Jerry A. Dean; and her friend Countess Shealey Chapman. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations made in her honor to the Bethel United Methodist Church, which continues the mission so dear to Mrs. Chapman's heart — making disciples of all who enter through its doors.
