She was predeceased by: her parents, William Gaston Cowart and Emma Cowart; her husband Douglas Taylor; and her siblings, Carolyn Spivey and George Cowart.

She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie Taylor of Red Level and Wayne Taylor of Warrior; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Bonner (Tom), Shey Taylor (Tammy), Jessica Taylor and Olivia Bates (Austin); and her brother-in-law Roy Spivey of Red Level. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
