She was predeceased by: her children, Mary Harris and Delbert Lee Harris; her grandson Michael Harris; her siblings, Henry Thaxton and Carolyn Rodgers (Billy); and her parents, Charlie Lathem Thaxton and Willie Clarice Smith Thaxton.
She is survived by: her children, Wilton B. Harris (Karen) of Hindsville, AR, Vanessa G. Boykins (George) of Houston, TX and Freda C. Young (Tandy) of Reform; her daughter-in-law Michelle Harris; her sister Virginia Vaughn of Madison, AL; her grandchildren, Justin Young, Tyler Young, Dillon Harris, Rachel Donohue, Stan Wells and Jonathan Harris; her nephews, Casey, Max, Dana and Henry Vaughn; her niece Ruby V. Farris; and her close friends, George Johnson and Brenda Moody. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Skelton Funeral Home (2105 2nd St SW, Reform, AL 35481). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
