It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvin T. Smith of Roanoke, Alabama, who passed away on August 11, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Leona Baldwin Smith; his siblings, Calvin Smith, James Ray Smith, Clyde Smith, Emmitt Smith and Edith Steeley; and his grandson Patrick Denney.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jewell Veal Smith; his children, Pam Brooks (Ken) of Woodland, Lisa Denney (Eugene) of Woodland, Dana Freeman (Walter) of Roanoke, Leann Lewis (Hershell) of Roanoke and Neil Smith (Michelle) of Roanoke; and his siblings, Betty Baker, Kathy Freeman, Waymon Smith and Larry Smith. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
