She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Edward and Margie Spradlin Wilson; her husband Buck Shelnutt; her daughter Teresa Jean Shelnutt; and her siblings, Diane Basset and Doyle Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Suellen Cofield (Mike) of Roopville, GA, Lisa Gay (Terry) of Roanoke and Jimmy Shelnutt of Roanoke; and her siblings, Janet Campbell (Ray) of Hokes Bluff, AL, Wayne Wilson (Faye) of Woodland and Marshall Wilson (Marilyn) of Roanoke. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Chapel (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278).
