It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emmett Lamar Smith of Roanoke, Alabama, who passed away on January 30, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oscar and Leona Baldwin Smith; his son Steven Smith; and his siblings, Calvin Smith, James Ray Smith, Clyde Smith and Edith Steely.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smith of Roanoke; his children, Shannon Reeves (Clay) of Whitesburg, GA, Randall Smith (Amy) of Woodland and Tony Smith (Kristy) of Roanoke; and his siblings, Betty Baker of Wedowee, Kathy Freeman of Ranburne, Alvin Smith (Mary Jewell) of Roanoke, Larry Smith (Carolyn) of Roanoke and Waymon Smith of Woodland. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
