He was predeceased by : his brother Bill Wood of Colorado; his parents, Francis Guy Wood and Iris Yearwood Wood; and his sister Barbara C. Wood. He is survived by : his children, Jan Leatherman (Tim) of Alabaster and Tommy Wood (Gale) of Roanoke; his grandchildren, Michael Wood, Kristen Dean (Chris) and Emily Janchus (Nate); and his great grandchildren, Jake Dean, Sara Dean, Tucker Janchus and Lucy Janchus.

In lieu of flowers, they would appreciate memorials be made to Compassus Hospice, 4455 Highway 431, Roanoke, AL 36274.
