He is survived by: his wife Regina Nelson of Roanoke, Alabama; his stepchildren, Loretta Knight of Montgomery, Bernadette Heard of Ashland, Michael Nelson of Roanoke, Alabama. and Raymond Nelson of Roanoke, Alabama.; his grandchildren, Ty Derrick Watkins, Tierra Staphanoff, Justice Knight, Kevin Watkins, Tamirial Nelson, Zara Woodgett, Kolton Watkins and McKenzlie Watkins; his siblings, Curtis Snell (Ann) of Lanett, Leroy Dean of Abbottsford, Willie George Calloway of LaGrange, Georgia, Lela Evans of Roanoke, Emily Ann Watts of Roanoke and Sherry Jean Moreland (Bobby) of LaGrange, Georgia.; and his sisters-in-law, Annie Joyce Snell of Lanett, Alabama, Francine Nelson of LaGrange, Georgia, Evelyn Dimmings, Mattie Ruth Molten of Anniston, Alabama and Lizzie Boyd of Weaver, Alabama.. He is also survived by his loving great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Clark Memorial Funeral Service (252 Lafayette Hwy, Roanoke, AL 36274). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
