He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Bennett and Okerlene Vowell Bennett; his brothers, Terry Bennett and Jimmy Bennett; and his father-in-law Fred Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Christy Davis Bennett of Roanoke; his daughters, Kendra Burks of Valley, Shelby Johnson (Chris) of Roanoke and Brandy Joiner (Chris) of Roanoke; and his grandchildren, Peyton Clark, Reygan Clark, Kennedy Johnson, Karter Johnson, Kamari Joiner, Kalani Joiner and Kaliah Joiner. He is also survived by three nephews and one niece; and two great-nephews and two great-nieces.
