It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Yawn of Roanoke, Alabama, who passed away on May 16, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gideon and Ruby Idell Lewis Yawn; and his siblings, Jimmy Yawn, Donald Yawn, Linda O'Neil and Hazel Worth.
He is survived by: his wife Wynell S. Yawn of Roanoke; his children, Angela Kirby of Roanoke, Diann Yawn of Roanoke and Anthony Yawn (April) of Roanoke; and his siblings, Sherryl Holton (Andy) of Douglas, GA, Glenn Yawn (Maria) of Douglas, GA and Johnny Yawn of Jesup, GA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Compassus Hospice at 4455 US Hwy 431, Roanoke, AL 36274, in Mr. Yawn's memory or one's favorite charity.
