She was predeceased by: her siblings, Charles Lackey and Judy Haywood. She is survived by: her husband Willie Frank Newborn of Roanoke; her children, Cathy Brown (Gene) of Heflin, AL and Tommy Newborn (Debbie) of Warner Robins, GA; her grandchildren, Michael Brown (Natalia), Casey Robbins (Wes), Kaydi Lawler (Reid), Matthew Brown (Tori), Tyler Newborn (Brianna) and Dillon Brown (Amber); her sister Jean Reed (Robert) of Rockmart, GA; her sister-in-law Brenda Lackey of Woodstock, GA.; and her parents, Robert Lackey and Hortense Langston Lackey. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Springfield Baptist Church.
