He was predeceased by: his father Lee Chappell; and his grandparents, Robert Lee, Daisy Chappell, Tom and Elsie Hall.
He is survived by: his mother Sybil Hall Chappell of Hickory Flats; his son Dennis Chappell of Atlanta; and his siblings, Vicki Garrett (Talmadge) of Alexander City, Michelle Darabaris (Len) of Lake View, Crystal Chappell of Hickory Flats and Mike Chappell (Chris) of Georgiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
