She was predeceased by: her parents, William Otto and Margie Ruth Bonner Newell; her husband Charles Taft; her son Alvin Taft; and her sister Margie Ann Newell.

She is survived by: her sons, Alan Taft of Round, Keith Taft (Rita) of Wadley and Kyle Taft of Rock Mills. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
