He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Hernandez Garcia and Maximina Ruiz Casillas; and his siblings, Avelino Hernandez Ruiz and Epifania Hernandez Ruiz. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn West Hernandez of Roanoke; his children, Jesus Antonio Hernandez Castelan (Leticia) of Tijuana, Iris Roxana Arroyo (Johnnie) of Redlands, CA and Antonio West Hernandez of Roanoke; his stepsons, Wayne Jackson (Jessica) and Joe Jackson (Becky); his grandchildren, Isaac Hernandez, Christian Hernandez, Gizelle Hernandez, Celeste Hernandez and Jeremiah Arroyo; his stepgrandchildren, Gray Jackson, Kate Jackson and Brooke Jackson; and his siblings, Marina Hernandez Ruiz, Carmela Hernandez Ruiz and Augustin Hernandez Ruiz.
