We announce the death of Walter Lavelle Morris of Roanoke, Alabama, who passed away on October 26, 2026, at the age of 87. Walter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Morris and Donie Freeman Morris; his son Jeffrey Keith Morris; and his siblings, Herman Morris, Pete Morris, L'averne Morris, Bobby Morris, Nell Horton and Minnie Jo Norberg.
He is survived by: his wife Hannelore Morris of Roanoke; his children, Steve Morris (Cindy) of Marietta, GA, Timmy Morris of Lineville, Mark Morris (Cheryl) of Lineville and Michelle Funderburk (Curtis) of Daviston; his grandchildren, Autumn Arnett, Hannah Thomas, Erin Morris, Jordan Funderburk, Alyssa Morris and Ana Morris; and his great grandchildren, Cole Arnett, Chloe Arnett, Bella Moss, Creed Thomas, Hayes Thomas, Karter Thomas, Tommy Funderburk and Miller Ward.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Quattlebaum Funeral Home (319 College St, Roanoke, AL 36274). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel (319 College St, Roanoke, AL 36274). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at the Randolph Memory Gardens (64930 AL-22, Roanoke, AL 36274).
