He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Watts and Maudie White Watts; his children, James Watts, John Wesley Watts (J. W.) and Margaret Watts; his granddaughter Lynn Hill; and his siblings, Frank Watts and Ruth Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Lane Watts; his daughters, O'Day Britt (Carl), Leticia Denham (Mike), Charleen Thomas and Gail Smith (Doug); and his daughter-in-law Doris Staples. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
