It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Kenneth Burden of Roanoke, Alabama, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Johnny B. Burden; his daughters, Kenneka Houston and Kimberly Knight; and his siblings, Fannie P. Burden, Roosevelt Burden, James Burden, Johnnie R. Bell, Luedean Daniel and Phillip Burden.

He is survived by : his wife Brunette Swint Burden of Roanoke, AL; his children, Kenneth Houston of Roanoke, Kenya Burden-Almond (Aaron) of Chester, VA, Tangela Ballard (Eric) of Atlanta, GA, Dionetta Sykes (Donald) of Atlanta, GA and LaShonda Houston of Roanoke; his siblings, Kerry Burden (Patricia) of Roanoke, Sylvia "Faye" Harris (Gary) of Roanoke, Gwendolyn Phillips (Johnny) of LaGrange, Irene Leak (David) of LaGrange and Mary Jean Truitt (Jafus) of LaGrange; and his close friends, Ricky Baggin and Reverend Joe C. Cofield. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

Canaan Baptist Church does not currently have any specific mask requirements in effect, however, any visitors who feel the need to wear a mask, can obtain one from church personnel.
