Willie Evans Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Evans of Roanoke, Alabama, born in Franklin, Alabama, who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie B. Evans and Sara Lee McClendon Evans; and his daughter Stephanie Evans. He is survived by: his close friends, Larry Tucker, Charles Huffman, Richard Billingsley, George Slay, Jr. and Leonard Holliday; his wife Lela Evans of Roanoke, Alabama; his stepdaughters, Maria Walker (John) of Denver and Linda Jean Woods of LaGrange, Georgia; his siblings-in-law, Emily Ann Watts of Roanoke, Sherry Moreland (Bobby) of LaGrange, Georgia, Leroy Dean of Abbotsford, Eddie Snells (Reginia) of Roanoke, Curtis Snells (Ann) of Lanett and Willie Callaway of LaGrange, Georgia; and his friend Willie Paul Evans. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
