He was predeceased by: his former wife Delores Barnett; his parents, Charlie Sr. Barnett and Hayes Barnett; his brothers, Charlie Jr., Jimmy and Gene Barnett; his sister-in-law Janice Barnett; and his great grandchildren, Baby Barnett and Maya Mae Diaz.
He is survived by: his wife Vanessa; his children, John Jr., Jeffery (Pamela), Jerry Barnett (Shannon) and Jessica Rabon (Justin); his siblings, George (Anita), Joe Barnett (Glenda), Sue Lane (Ed) and Janie Quick; and his sisters-in-law, Brenda and Debbie Barnett. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Clear Springs Methodist Church (27889 County Rd 112, Robertsdale, AL 36567). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Clear Springs Methodist (27889 County Rd 112, Robertsdale, AL 36567).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Buddy's memory to Clear Springs Methodist Church.
