He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Butler Hurn; his parents, Raymon Hurn and Bessie Hurn; his siblings, Arlis Hurn, Tonis Hurn, Gerald David Hurn, Louella Powell and Cleo Boyd; and his granddaughter Melania Jill Brown.
He is survived by: his daughters, Beverly Hurn Henderson and Tammy Brown (Mark); his grandchildren, Callie Holcombe (Jim), Julia Henderson (Ryan Zalewski), Luke Brown, Kimberly Brown and Matthew Brown; and his great grandchildren, Mina Holcombe and Rebekah Holcombe.
