He was predeceased by: his father James O. Embry, Sr.; his parents-in-law, Oscarene Newton and Hulon Newton; and his granddaughter Amelia Gail Owens. He is survived by: his wife Amie; his son Micah; his daughter-in-law Courtney Embry; his daughter Melia; his son-in-law Whitney Owens; his grandchildren, Addi, Lexi Embry, Brady and Asher Owens; his mother Olivia Embry; and his siblings, James Embry (Libbie) and Marla Ostrosky (Eddie).
