She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry J. Patterson; her parents, David Chandler and Marie Chandler (Goode); and her siblings, Ronald Chandler, Harold Chandler, Winnie Swann (Chandler) and Terry Chandler.

She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Fretwell (Tim), Janet Patterson and Jerri Jeffreys (Darren); her grandchildren, Caleb Whitehurst (Ciara Pilkinton), Elijah Jeffreys, Mary Lynn Jeffreys, Jordan Fretwell and Austin Fretwell; her great grandchildren, Bryson Cannon and Jaxon Cannon; and her brothers, Danny Chandler (Cathy) and Max Chandler (Marsha).

Donations are being requested in lieu of flowers to the following: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, North Alabama Christian Children's Home.
