As Vernon departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Vernon. Though Vernon may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Sam "Monk" Murphy; her son Neil Murphy; her grandson Timmy Murphy; and her parents, John Bates and Dora Bates.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Butler (Billy), Carolyn Howard (Tommy) and Willie Murphy (Joyce); and her daughter-in-law Carrie Murphy. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-great- grandson.
