He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Smith and Mary Smith; and his siblings, Harrold Smith, Verlin Smith, Shirley Ann Smith, Paul Smith, Rudy Smith (Jewel), Romie Smith, Betty Jean Carruth (Charles) and Daniel Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Smith Aaron; his granddaughters, Jennifer Cox Young (Tony), Hilary Aaron Henderson and Mary Aaron; his great grandchildren, Jasper Young and Hattie Belle Henderson; and his sister-in-law Imogene Smith (Jean). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
