William left this world on October 13, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William B. Virgin and Eloise Stakely Virgin; his sister Eloise Virgin Nichols; and his nephews, William Wadsworth McLemore and Joel Shepard.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Stuart Virgin; and his sisters, Virginia Virgin Smith and Elizabeth Virgin Shepard.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Givhan Family Cemetery (7619 AL-5, Safford, AL 36773).
