It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Fears of Salem, Alabama, who passed away on May 15, 2025, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his mother Patricia Fears; his wife Kimberly Washington; his father-in-law Willie Moore; his brother-in-law Robert Gamble (Cheniqua); his children, Asheley Watters (D'Andre) and Christopher L. Washington (Miranda); his godson Jarren Brice "JB" Fears; his grandchildren, Nya Watters, Isaiah Cox, Ja'Lynn Washington, Jeremiah Washington and Ruth Ann Washington; his grandmother Ella Fears; his aunts and uncles, Virginia Fears, Fannie K. McBride, Willie Mae Brown, Raymond Graham and Otis Graham; his siblings, Sian Graham, Ja'meeka Summers, Calvin Fears (Danielle), Meshullam Chambers (Cathy), Alfred Fuller (Aimee), Quinn Baldwin (Andrea), Eric Thomas, Jamie Jenkins (Teresa), Antonio DeWayne Gary, Jeff Lamar (Dana), Jermaine Cook, Bernard Sellers (Michelle), Johnny Matthews, Shirley Hubert, Valerie Fuller, Katina Cooper, Deidra McBride and Shaunlonnicka Upshaw; and his pets, Lucky, SJ and Miracle. He is also survived by Twin, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The lying in state was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church (650 Jeter Ave, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
