He is survived by: his wife Sarah Nichols Rodgers; his children, Pam Traweek (Joel) and Shane Rodgers (Tracy); his grandchildren, Taylor Rodgers Burkhalter (John Wesley), Joshua Rodgers, Jordan Rodgers and Jaxon Rodgers; his great grandchild John Wesley "J. B." Burkhalter III; and his aunt Martha Taylor Donour.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 13645-13653 Shiver de Freeze Rd, Berry, AL 35546.
