She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie B. Grimes and Mattie Mae Carter Grimes; her husband J. C. Gillis; her son Mike Gillis; and her sisters, JoAnn Pridgen and Annie Merle Grimes.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Shannon Gillis of Slocomb; her grandchildren, Chris Gillis (Jessi) of Coffee Springs and Hannah Gillis of Slocomb; and her great grandchildren, Maci and Wyatt Gillis of Coffee Springs. She is also survived by extended family, dear friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
