He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Alto and Bertha Elizabeth Mock Spann; and his siblings, Wenell Powell, Vermell McDougald, Thear Mae Barnes, Louise Pridgen, Dorsey Spann, Sr., James Spann and Eddie Ray Spann.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Ward of Athens, AL, Maggie Nowling (Walt) of Chancellor, AL, Edna Yates (Randall) of Darlington, FL, Lois Ard (Wesley) of Sunny Hills, FL and Randall Spann of Geneva, AL; his brother-in-law William Pridgen of Hacoda, AL; and his parents-in-law, Jerry and Betty Hurley of Enterprise, AL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
