It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelton Taylor of Samson, Alabama, who passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Shelton may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his mother Ellen Wiggins; his brother Donnie Taylor; and his grandparents, Jody and Irene Wiggins. He is survived by: his wife Brenda K. Holley Taylor of Samson, AL; his sons, Jody Taylor (Brenda) of Dothan, AL and Justin Taylor of Samson, AL; his grandchildren, Colt and Ally Kate Taylor of Dothan, AL; and his sisters, Babara Harrison of Andalusia, AL, Deborah Meeks of Burleson, TX and Judy Tanner (Mark) of Tuscaloosa, AL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
