He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Steiner and Virginia Williams Aplin; and his brothers, Roger Aplin, Stan Aplin and Joseph Wayne Aplin.
He is survived by : his wife Joy Barnes Aplin of Samson, AL; his sons, Steven Scott Aplin of Enterprise, AL, Steven Colt Aplin (Amber) of Samson, AL, and Spencer Barry Aplin (Samantha) of Enterprise, AL; his step-daughter Jennifer Hutto of Enterprise, AL; his siblings, Martha Sullivan (Charles), Barbara Smythe (Corky), Nina Kilpatrick (Roger), Terrell Aplin (Carol), Brenda McCollough (Donald) and Darrell Aplin (ReGina); and his step-mother JoAnn Aplin. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
