He was predeceased by : his wife Gladys "Gerry" Stringfellow; and his sister Patricia Ann Stringfellow. He is survived by : his children, Charles "Chuck" Stringfellow, Karen Moss and Denise Stringer; his sister Carolyn Henson; and his grandchildren, Shanna Steele, Jessica Williams, Tiffany Steele, Christa Rudat, Courtney Champion, Chad Stringfellow, Shannon Phillips, Stefanie Stringer, Daniel Stringer and Jonathan Stringer. He is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

String and I , along with Billy Orr, go back a long way to Parris Island USMC boot camp 1955 We were stationed together at North Carolina.
