We bid farewell to Harriette Smith (Saraland, Alabama), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 20, 2025 at the age of 87. Harriette touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Maxwell Herring, Jr. and Mattie Lou Bounds Herring; her brothers, David Bounds Herring and Robert Maxwell Herring III; and her husband Dr. William A. "Billy" Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Michael and Sandy; her daughter-in-law Sheila; her grandchildren, Forrest, Halston, Eden, Ava Grace and Mary Alice; and her great grandchildren, Paisley, Wesley and Grant.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (10000 Celeste Rd, Saraland, AL 36571).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
