He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Byrd and Gertrude Byrd; and his brothers, Tyrone Byrd and Donald Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Ida Byrd; his children, Stoney Byrd, Jennifer Orso (Brent), Ester Snow (Don) and Felecia Buish; his grandchildren, Joseph Byrd, Jason Byrd, Michael Snow, Macy Snow, Stoney Byrd, Jr., Brandy White, Robert White, Jr., Benjamin Reed III and Zoriana Djurdjevic; his great grandchildren, Gunner, Tyler and Elijah; and his siblings, Kathern Stanley (Roland), James Robert Byrd "Jim" (Arlene) and Dorothy Chestang (Elvin). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Jesus Ministries (31 Saraland Blvd, Saraland, AL 36571). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at the Byrd Cemetery.
