With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lula Moor Pouncey (Sardis, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 29, 2026 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank James Lewis and Minnie Hamilton Lewis; her husband Theodore Rutherford Pouncey; and her sister Bettie Watkins Lewis. She is survived by: her sister Ella Belle Lewis Smith; her children, Theodore Hamilton Pouncey (Cullie), Bettie Gail Pouncey Young (John) and Janine Pouncey Bryant (Steve); and her grandchildren, Justin Pouncey (Lana), Josh Pouncey (Rene), Jonathon Pouncey (Blair), Susan Pouncey Latham (Steve), Ashley Young Puthoff (Jaremy), Abby Young McMaster (Eric), Adam Young (Annastasia), Brooks Bryant (Laura) and Jay Bryant (Lee Ann). She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, 2 step grandsons, 1 nephew, 2 nieces, and 1 step grandniece.
