He was predeceased by : his daughter Kristy Ann Cunningham; his siblings, Virginia Floyd, Leon Andy Cunningham and Jimmy D. Cunningham; and his parents, Leon Dixon Cunningham and Ann Beatrice Cunningham.

He is survived by : his sons, Mark Cunningham (Jennifer) and Paul Cunningham, Jr. (Sharon Kurowski); his sister Judy Groover; his granddaughter KC Pritchett (Layton); and his great grandchild Pritchett.
