With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Georgia McCoy of Scottsboro, Alabama, who passed away on April 15, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Flora Jewel McCoy and Claude McCoy, Sr.; her siblings, William McCoy, Claude McCoy, Jr. and Juanita Turchol; and her granddaughter Fawn Austin.

She is survived by : her daughters, Tina Sharon Jordan, Rachael Renae Linder, Faye Jordan (Wayne) and JoAnna Newcom (Michael); her grandchildren, Anthony Austin, Thomas Claude Austin, Maurice Linder (Keisha), Caprice Linder, D'Jenaba Linder, Merab Linder, Seth Jordan (Taylor), Shi Wellington (Damion), Corey Wellington, Jr. (Ashlyn), Ahlaila Jordan (Avery), Sierra McCamey, Jordan Wallingsford (Suhayla), Tristan Wallingsford and Logan Wallingsford; her great grandchildren, Kyson, Kaden, McKenna, Braylen, Dylan, Zane, Nova, Jada, Abel, Greenlee, Aven, Amelia, Vivian, Annlen and Maisen; her sister Anna; and her favorite little pal Chico.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Valley Funeral Home - Scottsboro (674 Snodgrass Rd, Scottsboro, AL 35769). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
