He was predeceased by: his parents, Walker Carlton and Fannie Carlton; his wife Katherine Carlton; his son Terry Carlton; and his siblings, Danny, Runt, Pat Carlton, Edna Turner and Stella Rogers.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Patty (Richard), Judy Brandon (Eddie), George Meeks (Gwen) and Lynn Carlton (Lisa); his grandchildren, Leigh, Jennifer, Jan, Carley, Brian, Bruce, Nathan, Allison, Brooke and Whitney; his great grandchildren, Robby, Peyton, Lauren, Lindsey, Krissy, Julie, Jenna, Jayme, Emily, Cade, Cole, Caleb, Tasha, Memphis, Aaron, Evie, Lyla, Indie, Beau, Charlie, River, Tye, Braxton, Braylee and Aidyn; his great great grandchildren, Ava, James, Josie, Luke, Willow, Naomi, Ryder and Casper; his close friend Linda Wells; and his siblings, Albert P. Carlton and Annie Maude Fowler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
