With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jewel J. Bailey of Scottsboro, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 9, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her husband Eaber Rayford Bailey; her sons, Rodney and Ralph Bailey; and her parents, Felix Johnson and Ethel Fowler Johnson.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Melody Bailey (Cody), Melissa Worthen (Brock), Amanda Bailey, Breanna Hill (Cameron), Holly Ward (Zack), Morgan Clark (Caden), Peyton Keeter (Carson), Alana Scarberry (Ryan), Hunter Jones (Alexis), Faith Jones, Hope Jones, Addilynn Ward, Memphis Ward and Kohen Rose; her sons, Donnie and George Woodall; and her daughters-in-law, Ann and Lori Bailey.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rudder Funeral Home - Scottsboro (716 S Broad St, Scottsboro, AL 35768). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at the Prince Cemetery (846 Co Rd 138, Scottsboro, AL 35768).
